What should I expect for my Lumixa treatment?
During Treatment:
Your Lumixa treatment begins with the application of a generous layer of Lumixa gel to your facial skin. The gel may initially feel cool as it's applied. You'll be provided with protective block-out goggles to shield your eyes, and you'll recline under LED light panels. It's normal to experience a warm sensation and occasional tingling during the treatment.
After Treatment:
Expect a bronzing effect on Fitzpatrick III+ skin types. Freckles may temporarily darken, and conditions like PIH or Melasma may temporarily intensify. These effects are not permanent, but if pigmentation is a concern for you, we recommend addressing it before starting Lumixa treatments.
Is Lumixa painful?
Lumixa treatments are pain-free and non-invasive. The Lumixa gel does not absorb into the skin. You may experience a sensation of tingling and warmth during the treatment as the gel and light interact. Rest assured, this is a completely normal part of the process.
